The effectiveness of a Board/Committee meeting is strongly influenced by the structure, content and management of the agenda. Establishing a relevant and structured meeting agenda is essential to ensure directors, members and staff feel involved and empowered by the governance process.
The Australian Womensport & Recreation Association (AWRA) wants to encourage the active participation of women in the administration of sport and recreation organisations. Committees and boards need members/directors who, as well as being appropriately knowledgeable, can bring some balance in gender representation and gender considerations to the board table
This Speedlearn will provide an outline of a typical agenda and discuss how this might be implemented. It will also cover key terms and topics relevant to implementing and managing an effective agenda in a local or regional Not for Profit (NFP) sport or recreation club or association. |
