5th IWG World Conference on Women and Sport
We have devoted a section to the 5th IWG World Conference on Women and Sport, which was held in 2010 in Sydney, Australia.
It was organised under the auspices of the International Working Group on Women and Sport (IWG) with the support of NSW Sport and Recreation, University of Technology Sydney, Sydney Olympic Park Authority, Sport Employment Australia and Business Events Australia.

Making a difference to improve media coverage of women's sport
AWRA is delighted with the announcement by The Hon Tanya Plibersek MP, Minister for Housing and Minister for the Status of Women, that the association will be funded for $100,000 (excluding GST) from the 2008-2009 Women's Leadership and Development Program Grants for "The Catalyst Project Improving Sports Media Coverage for Women".
