AWRA Leadership Workshop Offer

Australian Womensport and Recreation Association (AWRA) and its state members, with support from the Australian Government, conducted a series of Women's Sport Leadership Workshops throughout Australia in 2009. The aim of the workshops was to assist women in furthering their leadership roles in sport and recreation whether at the local club, association or state and national level.

As an outcome and a sustainable legacy of that project, AWRA would like to offer this excellent workshop program to more organisations, such as local government associations, national sporting organisations, state sporting associations and women's agencies.  In particular there is a recognised need to take such a program to rural and regional areas of Australia.  AWRA would like to work collaboratively with other organisations to reach out further into less populated regions and/or to target some groups of women who may benefit from sports leadership training.

AWRA is able to supply the following:

ü      One day proven workshop program on leadership for women

ü      Access to leadership fact sheets and five web based leadership and governance modules, including mentoring

ü      An expert presenter in Henny Oldenhove from Canberra.  Henny has much experience in women's sport as a consultant, public servant, planner and a volunteer.

ü      Advertising flyer (example below)

ü      A ten per cent fee to offset administration costs

All you need to supply is the following:

1.      Participants, no more than 30.

2.      Date, venue and catering.

Cost for the Leadership Workshop is $3000 (plus GST) negotiable, depending on location and payable to AWRA
