This module looks at the common incorporation structures, who can be a director, the key competencies for a Board, how to monitor Board performance, conflicts of interest, insurance, financial responsibilities, advocacy and what you need to know before accepting a Board position.
The objectives of this module are to:

Provide information for those beginning a role as a director or committee member;

Provide a basic understanding of governance issues in NFPs;

Examine some of the characteristics of sport and recreation NFP organisations; and

Identify the key responsibilities of directors
